Arezzo – May 26, 2022 – SECO enhances its family of fanless embedded computers with CHAMALEON, a boxed IP65 solution providing an excellent balance between computing and graphics performance, together with low power consumption.
CHAMALEON incorporates SECO’s ALVIN (formerly codenamed SBC-B68-eNUC, a full industrial x86 embedded NUC ™ Single Board Computer equipped with a Quad Channel soldered down LPDDRW-2400 memory.
This new product, which features an Intel® Atom® x5-E3930 Dual Core processor (@1.3 GHz (Burst 1.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 6.5W TDP), comes with both Commercial temperature (0°C ÷ 60°C) and Industrial temperature range from -40°C to +60°C. Several connectivity options are available through two Gigabit Ethernet ports and a microSIM slot soldered on-board for the Modem.
Able to provide high quality video resolution up to 4096 x 2160, this boxed solution mounts an integrated Intel® HD Graphics 500 series controller and can decode and encode 4K HW of several video compression standard. Finally, on the side of video interfaces, is provided with a multimode Display Port on miniDP++ connector.
Preinstalled operating systems include Microsoft Windows 10 IoT entry and Linux Ubuntu (64-bit).
CHAMALEON’s impressive processing and video quality, combined with the compact dimensions – only 165 x 110 x 75 mm - make this boxed pc the ideal solution for high-reliability demanding applications, like automation and industrial automation, but also edge computing and industrial IoT.
CHAMALEON is natively compatible with SECO’s Clea AI/IoT platform, which easily connects edge electronic devices in the cloud and from a central server facilitates real time device monitoring, analytics, infrastructure management, predictive maintenance, secure remote software updates, and more.
